Are you wondering where you will get your next book fix from?

The two main English language bookshops are Soloneion Bookshop (solonion.com.cy - obviously *not* recently updated but the street address is good) in Engomi and Moufflon Bookshop (moufflon.com.cy) in the town center. An online article at the Cyprus Weekly , also mentions the Public store located in the Mall of Cyprus in Latsia.

For second hand books, St.Paul's Anglican church has a small bookshop on Saturdays 10-noon. Paperbacks are priced about 2-3 Euros. St.Paul's is located opposite the Greek Embassy on Byron Avenue near the town center.

The Nicosia Dog Shelter Charity Shop has a couple of bookcases of books. The shop is open from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm daily (although it is probably best to call them before you head down there if it is during the workweek) as well as on the weekend. The charity shop is located at 43 Granikou Street within the walls, on the same street as the Motorcycle Museum.  Tel: 22 660 413

The Frock Exchange, a consignment shop in Ayios Dometios, also has a couple of bookcases of books. They are located at 16B Pringipos Karolou St, a block east from Asty Hotel. Hours are 9:30-1pm M-F, Sat 4-7pm, Sun 3-6pm.

Another resource which has not yet been personally checked out is the Papantoniou Institute bookshop located at  38 Byron Ave, just up the street from St. Paul's (info via http://www.papantoniou-institute.com/careers.html)

The universities all have libraries though their fiction sections may be small. This would be the time to brush up on literature and non-fiction! The University of Cyprus is supposed to have a good literature section. Details on fees for the University of Cyprus library can be found at http://library.ucy.ac.cy/ENGLISH/

Online, play.com offers free shipping to Cyprus.

Last but not least, a few members of the hash get together on an irregular basis and swap books. Talk to Ball Stretcher for more info.
